Technical Specifications
- Biscuit Packaging Film for Flow Pack Lines — Printed roll film is commonly used for cookies, crackers, wafers, sandwich biscuits and bakery snacks on horizontal flow wrappers. The correct film is defined by the product, target shelf life and machine interface, not by the words biscuit packaging film alone.
- Moisture Barrier and Product Protection — Crisp products usually require controlled moisture ingress, while fat-containing or flavored products may add oxygen, aroma or light considerations. BOPP/CPP, PET/PE, metallized and other laminate families may be evaluated, but final barrier targets should be stated as agreed test values where possible and validated against the real product and shelf life.
- Roll and Print Specifications — Provide web width, print repeat or cut-off, unwind direction, number of lanes, eye-mark size and position, core ID, maximum reel diameter and weight, splice rules and artwork orientation. Confirm whether coding, perforation or registration-sensitive features occupy machine-side areas.
- Machinability, COF and Tension — Coefficient of friction affects forming, pulling and product transfer, but there is no universal COF for every flow wrapper. Match inside and outside surface behavior, film stiffness, thickness tolerance, winding tension and static control to the machine, line speed and biscuit feeding system. Use a trial reel when equipment fit is not established.
- Sealing Window and Crumb Control — Define sealant, jaw type, temperature, pressure, dwell time and line speed as a working window. Biscuit crumbs or coatings in the end-seal area can create channels, so evaluate product spacing, brush or air control, jaw condition and seal-through-contamination needs with the packing line.
- Quality and Line-Trial Checks — Review roll width and repeat tolerance, winding, eye-mark registration, print registration, laminate bond, thickness, COF, seal strength and appearance. Run representative product at intended speed and inspect tracking, wrinkles, cut position, end seals, rejects and pack integrity after storage.
- Quotation Checklist — Biscuit type and dimensions; pack count and layout; machine make and model; line speed; web width and repeat; unwind; core, reel diameter and weight limits; material and thickness if known; barrier and shelf-life target; sealing conditions; eye mark; printing colors, artwork, quantity per design and trial requirements.

- Q: What film is used for biscuit packaging? A: Several structures may work; select from moisture and oxygen needs, machine, sealing and shelf life. Q: What roll data is required? A: Provide width, repeat, unwind, core, reel limits, eye mark and artwork orientation. Q: Why does film run poorly on a flow wrapper? A: Width, winding, COF, stiffness, tension, eye-mark sensing, sealing or machine condition may contribute. Q: How should the sealing window be confirmed? A: Trial representative film and product across an agreed range of temperature, pressure, dwell and speed.
Suitable Applications
Food, beverage, snacks, coffee, pet food, daily chemical, powder, liquid, sauce, frozen products, ready meals, industrial products and more. Suitability depends on material structure, sealing method and packaging machine type.
Material Options
Common structures: PET/PE, PET/VMPET/PE, PET/AL/PE, BOPP/CPP, NY/PE, kraft paper laminates. Selection criteria: barrier requirements (oxygen, moisture, light), sealing method (heat seal, cold seal), shelf life, packaging machine compatibility and cost.
Key Features
9-color gravure printing, food-grade laminated materials, eye mark registration, custom heat seal layer. Optional: resealable zipper, tear notch, hang hole, window, one-way degassing valve, spout and cap. All products made in ISO22000 certified facility.
Quality Control
Each batch: print color consistency check, lamination bond strength test (ASTM F904), heat seal strength test (ASTM F88), dimensional tolerance measurement, visual appearance inspection. Roll film: COF, surface tension, slitting accuracy. Pre-shipment inspection with retained batch samples.
Buyer Notes
- Provide product type, bag size or roll width — a photo or sample helps quick assessment
- If material structure or thickness is known, include specification
- Number of printing colors and artwork file affect cylinder cost and prepress time
- Packing machine type (VFFS/HFFS/manual) determines roll film vs premade pouch choice
- Target market compliance, China OEM filling requirements or nominated domestic warehouse handover details help confirm the final specification

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the MOQ for custom printed flexible packaging?
MOQ depends on bag type, size, material structure and printing colors. Roll film: usually 200-500 kg per design. Stand up pouches: 10,000-30,000 pcs. Flat bottom pouches: 20,000-30,000 pcs. Coffee bags: 10,000-30,000 pcs. Spout pouches: 30,000-50,000 pcs. Contact us with your details for an accurate assessment.
Can Huasheng Packaging provide samples?
Yes. Existing production samples can be provided for material and workmanship reference. Custom printed samples, structure samples or pre-production samples should be confirmed by project according to artwork, size, material and printing colors. Sample method, timing and cost are confirmed before order placement.
What is the lead time for custom packaging orders?
Typical lead time is 15-25 working days after artwork confirmation and deposit receipt. Exact lead time depends on material structure, order quantity, printing complexity and current production schedule.
What material structure should I choose?
Material structure depends on product type (dry, oily, frozen, liquid, high-temperature), shelf life requirements and packaging machine type. Common options include PET/PE, PET/VMPET/PE, BOPP/CPP, NY/PE and kraft paper laminates. We can recommend suitable structures based on your product details.
What is the difference between roll film and premade pouch?
Roll film is printed laminated film supplied on rolls for automatic packing machines (VFFS/HFFS), where filling, forming and sealing happen on one machine. Premade pouches are pre-formed bags delivered ready for filling on separate equipment. The choice depends on your production line and product format.
